When the unit show the time, press and hold SET button for about 3 seconds enter setting mode, the last number of minute will flash, press Up or Down button to set your desired digit, press SET button to confirm and enter to set the first digit of minute, using the same operation to set the digit of minute and hour, The LCD will show the time after not pressing button for about 3 seconds.
When in the transmit state, press SET button will show the time for about 3 seconds

Good signal and sound quality. user selected frequencies allows better use in strong signal areas where a weak capture ratio of a given FM receiver can present issues unless a really clear spot can be found. Almost half the price of the competing BG #742 | | Cons:
I bought this unit to replace BG's #742 that has perhaps slightly better sound, but cannot be turned off (see my reviews of that unit). Alas, although this unit has an 'on-off' button, it only turns off the FM signal and does not turn the unit off -- it continues to draw about 18 mA (regardless of only showing the time and -inaccurate!- temperature), resulting in SHORT battery life. Not a problem if only used in a car, but unacceptable for casual in-home use. | | Overall:
This unit's construction resembles that of #742, suggesting the same source and the same issue - they cannot be turned OFF or to have a idle-level battery use. IF YOU INTEND TO USE THE BATTERIES AND NOT THE CAR ADAPTER, DO NOT PURCHASE (unless you remove a battery, and then you lose the time and preset frequencies).
